LOA is on the Way!

Our social worker called me at school today to give me the best news ever. I was teaching though and had to wait almost 2 hours before I found out and called her back! Luckily I didn't check my email until my kids were at art! Anyway, this is China's approval for our adopting Shen Ming Ying! We are now waiting for our travel appointment and then we'll be on our way! I'm finally able to share her beautiful face publicly! Can you believe how beautiful she is!?! Our God is sooooo good!

Quilt Project

I just wanted to clarify the quilt project. I am going to add the pictures, poems, and well wishes to Hanna's scrapbook - to let her know who was thinking/praying for her while she was in China. I will use the material (quarter yard or "fat quarter") to make her a quilt. I also found out that you can purchase fat quarters pre-cut at JoAnn's Fabric. They have all different colors and designs! Just choose one you like and I know it will mean so much to Hanna! I plan to add a separate blog about the material I've gained for the project.

We are still waiting for our LOA, although not very patiently. I'm sure our social worker is tired of seeing our name come through on her email! We are praying we'll get it soon. We are almost 3 weeks behind the rest of our referral group now. September is almost out of the question now... so we'll have to start praying for October or November. Hopefully we'll be home with Hanna before her birthday. Please keep us in your prayers, but more importantly please keep Hanna in your prayers.

New Photos!

I opened my email today with the delight of finding out a family had visited Hanna's orphanage in July and posted 3 pictures of her! The husband even got to hold her - we are sooo jealous! She is just beautiful. We couldn't be happier, unless we were there right now. We are still praying for September. We'll keep you posted. The photos are in the photo gallery. Email me if you need the password (it's the boys' initials!)
